This Amazon Basics Home Security Safe is a great basic safe for storing your jewelry, important documents, and other valuables.
It’s made of heavy-duty carbon steel. The door is 8-gauge steel, and the body is 14-gauge steel. There are 2 live-door bolts. Live bolts mean bolts that move in and out as you turn the door handle to close and lock the safe.
There are also pry-resistant concealed hinges for even more security.
This safe comes in many different sizes ranging from 0.5 cubic feet to 2.1 cubic feet. The 1.52 cubic foot model, shown in the photo above, is 13.8 inches wide, 13 inches deep, and 16.5 inches high. It weighs 33.5 pounds.
There are pre-drilled holes and hardware is included for you to mount it to a floor or wall. The safe has a programmable electronic keypad, and a backup key is also included. So, if you want, you can bypass the keypad. There are two keys included with the safe.

Advantages

This is just a basic safe for storing documents, jewelry, passports, and other valuables, and keeping them from being easily accessible. It may be fire resistant to a degree, but the safe isn’t fireproof or waterproof. However, inexpensive Document Bags are available which are fireproof and waterproof.
